Let the Good Times Roll!

There are a million blogs out there. So why should I read THIS ONE?

That is an excellent question!

I have recently entered the world of professional writing, and I would like to share my experience with you. I want to take you with me as I journey into a new life, a life completely foreign from anything I’ve ever known. I’m 46. April 2021, I abandoned the security of my job as a teacher in pursuit of my dreams. Many of you are, have been, or have thought about being in my same position. I want to not only build a roadmap of the direction I am going, but I also want to interact with you. Learn from you. Laugh with you. Cry with you. We don’t have to go into the unknown alone; we have each other.

What to expect

  • The truth

I tell it like it is. I can’t do it any other way. I find that people will usually respect you even if they disagree with you. Oh, who am I kidding? I’ve never won a popularity contest 🙂

  • A journal of my experience writing my first novel

Not just for posterity, I want to document my experience of writing my first novel. I would love if some of y’all (there’s that Texas thang coming out in me ) can benefit from what I have to share. I also think that it’ll be fun for me to be able to look at my musings years later. Maybe when I’m in the process of writing my tenth.

  • Funny stories about my life as a mom, teacher, and human

All work and no play makes Snyder a dull girl! I love to share the crazy things that I’ve gone through over the past 46 years. I’ve got some stories to tell you that will make you doubt my credibility because they are so outragious! But, referring back to the first bullet point, I do not lie!

No need to keep reading if

  • You’re easily offended

I’m honest. Sometimes that offends. I also cuss like a sailor. I suggest tanning for a while. Toughen up that skin.

  • You want someone to “sugar coat things”

Refer to point one. I keep it real. Be prepared.

  • You don’t enjoy good ol’ Southern humor

Regardless of the subject matter, I’m probably going to approach it with wit, sarcasm, and satire. That’s just who I am. Love me or leave me.

I’m winging this, folks. But I usually get the best results that way. I am always gonna be open to your comments, suggestions, and feedback. I don’t want this to be a one-sided thing. Share your experiences. Let me know how you relate to the things I discuss. I’d love for some of you to do a guest post or spot for me. Let’s make this a fun, exciting place to tell our truths and share our stories. Can’t wait to get to know you!
